Razeen Khan is the Managing Director at KKS Law, an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and an academic. Rizaar Smidt

Rizaar Smidt is a Director of KKS Law and an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, holding an LLB cum laude from the University of the Western Cape. He completed his articles at STBB, where he later practised in its Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, before joining AJA Attorneys as a Consultant Attorney. His practice encompasses general civil and commercial litigation, commercial consulting and advisory work, complex property and construction disputes, community schemes law, governance, CSOS proceedings and levy recoveries. Rizaar has acted in matters before the Supreme Court of Appeal, High Courts and lower courts, and regularly advises managing agents, developers, community schemes and commercial clients across South Africa.
Beyond the law, Rizaar is a dedicated husband and father, car and coffee enthusiast, and enjoys boxing, a good game of football and mountain biking.
Ashwin Kassen

Ashwin Kassen is a Director of KKS Law and an accomplished Senior Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with close to 25 years’ experience. His diverse career includes ten years as a Magistrate in the Western Cape, experience as a forensic auditor across the public and private sectors, and extensive legal practice. Ashwin advises and represents clients across civil, commercial, criminal, property and labour matters, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and deal structuring. He also acts as in-house counsel to private companies, providing strategic and practical legal solutions across their business operations.
Beyond the law, Ashwin finds inspiration in music, both playing and listening, and is an avid enthusiast of aviation, race car driving and padel.
Farhana Suder

Farhana Suder is a senior legal practitioner with over 24 years’ experience in private practice and right of appearance in the High Courts of South Africa. Her extensive experience spans corporate and commercial law, governance, compliance, litigation, transaction advisory, restructuring and risk management across both the public and private sectors. She has also advised on major cross-border projects and serves as general counsel, strategic legal advisor and outsourced Company Secretary to various corporate entities.
Beyond the practice, Farhana primarily assists the firm on matters requiring business rescue and liquidation expertise.
Samina Khanjra

Samina leads strategy, operations and business development at KKS Law, bringing a multidisciplinary background in education, psychology, communications and organisational development. A graduate of the University of Cape Town, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, Drama and Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology.
At KKS Law, Samina oversees the firm’s marketing and digital presence, brand strategy, operations, business development and broader strategic initiatives. Her approach combines creativity, structure and a strong understanding of people, helping to align the firm’s public identity, client experience and long-term growth.
Beyond her professional work, Samina has a deep love of learning. She enjoys travelling, connecting with people and spending time in nature, particularly by the ocean, and values movement as part of a balanced and curious life.
Asif Joosub

Asif Joosub is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years’ experience in corporate, international and environmental taxation. A former PwC Partner, he has advised multinational and privately owned groups on mergers and acquisitions, cross-border structuring, exchange control, regulatory compliance and strategic tax planning across a wide range of industries.
Asif also previously headed PwC’s International Trade team, where his practice included carbon tax and environmental tax advisory and compliance. He now advises multinational and family-owned groups, with particular expertise in corporate tax, international tax, transaction structuring, carbon tax and tax optimisation.
Shakeel Smidt
Legal Assistant
Shakeel is a Legal Assistant at KKS Attorneys, where he plays an integral role in the firm’s day-to-day operations. He handles essential court-related groundwork, including court filings, service of documents and general litigation support, ensuring matters progress efficiently and seamlessly.
Shakeel is also instrumental in supporting the firm’s vast collections portfolio, assisting with the administration and progression of matters from initiation through to recovery. His hands-on approach and attention to detail help alleviate the administrative burden on the firm’s attorneys and ensure that matters are managed effectively and timeously.
